My major is theoretical chemistry and computational chemistry. I have taken up the challenge of “visualizing” phenomena observed in such fields as geochemistry, molecular biology, and material science by setting up a virtual experiment using a computer. The photochromic phenomenon is one of the topics on which we have elucidated its reaction mechanism. In recent years, you may have seen on TV the news about fabric that changes color from white to yellow when exposed to sunlight.
