■English for Science　 /Engineering■Overseas Short-term ProgramAn introduction to English for Science/Engineering (Compulsory elective course/optional course) and Overseas Short-term Program, a course highly recommended by the Faculty of Science and Technology Training content (example)English subjects for science and engineering are available in the Faculty of Science and Technology General Subject Group 1. e aim is to endow the ability to use English eectively when working in the real world. In order to read literature in foreign languages, present papers at international meetings, participate in international conferences, and to promote various agreements and negotiations without inconvenience, it is necessary to understand clear and concise English without misunderstandings, and also to become familiar with terms specic to science and technology.A certicate of completion of Systematic Science and Technology English Education will be issued to students who earn more than 10 credits from the courses listed in the table on the right (English for Science/Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology Programs in English, English elective in language course, etc.) and submit a graduation thesis or other scientic/technical paper in English. e Overseas Short-term Program is especially designed for science and engineering students.
